We believe people should have access to clean water.
Citizen for Clean Water is based in Merrimack, NH and is an advocacy and information group founded by citizens who saw a need to develop a path to assist our residents, health professionals, community leaders and elected officials in comprehensively addressing the needs of our PFAS impacted community. We have worked diligently to gather and compile information to educate our community and elected officials about all aspects and impacts of our PFAS exposure while consistently reaching out for additional resources.
We have listened, assessed needs and concerns and have connected many people with additional information. We have been, and continue to be, effective in advocating for and implementing the policies, solutions and guidance we need on a local, state and federal level. We also have a comprehensive overview of the community impacts of PFAS contamination, woeful inadequacies in PFAS regulations and what this means to exposed communities. PFAS are a class of chemicals that include PFOA and thousands of other compounds, all of which have similar health effects and none of which have been shown to be safe.
